The Empowerment Factory (TEF) is a local non-profit looking for a passionate and creative
volunteer to assist in teaching. This internship or volunteer work is an excellent opportunity to be part of a team that is making a positive impact in our community while gaining valuable experience. Interns/volunteers will work closely with the Executive Director. We are asking for a minimum of 4 hours per week and are flexible on what days and times.
TEF classes are directly benefiting RI children's education and development during this difficult time when learning has been made so difficult due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Requirements:
• Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
• Keep up-to-date with developments in subject area, teaching resources, and methods, and make relevant suggestions to instructional plans and activities
• Must be self-motivated, have good organizational skills, be detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize
• An effective communicator, both written and oral. Bilingual is a plus.
• Background Check
• At least 4 hours per week with flexible days and times.
